Postmodern is a unique display typeface with fluid, prominent terminals in each character. In its creation, I challenged myself to integrate them in such a way that doesn’t disturb the rest of the letterform. The result is a contemporary typeface with classical elegance.
As one of my final projects before graduating from Columbia College Chicago, I was assigned to design and develop a complete typeface from the ground up. I began by conceptualizing different ideas with pencil and paper which lead to rough sketches of what would become Postmodern. I then moved on to create the forms in Adobe Illustrator and finalized by typesetting in FontLab TypeTool.
